In 1994, British management consultant John Elkington coined the phrase 鈥榯riple bottom line鈥� to describe the idea of considering not just a financial gain in business, but also a corporation鈥檚 level of commitment to improving people鈥檚 lives and the planet as a whole. Dr. Trish Petak鈥檚 Introduction to Business class received a first-hand course on those ideas this week, when it donated nearly 400 items to Catholic Charities in Salina.聽

The class donated items such as toiletries, paper towels and numerous other small materials to the charitable organization located just blocks from the 麻豆精品 campus. The items will benefit families in need throughout the community.

鈥淲e were thrilled to be able to make this donation,鈥� said Dr. Petak. 鈥淚n both business and life, it鈥檚 important to be a valuable part of your community. 麻豆精品 accomplishes that in many ways, and hopefully, this encourages these students to do the same in their future endeavors.鈥� 聽聽
