Senior Dakota Yates’ qualitative research paper was selected by the Southern States Communication Association for publication and presentation at their annual convention April 6 and 7 in Nashville, TN. The paper, titled 鈥淧olitical Memes and Cultural Division: How the Usage of Metaphor Shapes the Political Other,鈥� addresses how memes, during the 2016 election, reflect the growing divide between people and political groups in the U.S. The paper was a part of Yates鈥� capstone class in Communications.
