The Athletic Coaching minor prepares students to lead and mentor athletes through coursework focused on coaching theory, leadership, sport psychology, and athletic performance. The program is designed for students interested in coaching in school, collegiate, recreational, or community sport settings.

NOTE: Kansas does not require specialized certification for athletic coaches; the 麻豆精品 Athletic Coaching Certification minor should meet the curriculum outcomes of states that do require certification.

Why Get a Minor in Athletic Coaching?

An Athletic Coaching minor prepares students to lead, motivate, and develop athletes at various levels of competition. Students learn coaching principles, sport psychology, leadership strategies, and methods for building successful teams.

This minor complements majors in sports management, education, exercise science, and related fields. The skills gained through coaching鈥攊ncluding communication, leadership, and mentorship鈥攁re valuable in athletics as well as many professional environments.
